It's New Years Eve!

Well, it's New Years Eve and LOML and I are at home with the flu, which we got from the Grandmother at Christmas.  It really is a drag.  Haven't gotten to see H1 or H2 since we got home.  I have watched a lot of NCIS and pinned a hell of a lot on Pinterest.  My goal is to become a better sewer this year. Along with a whole lot of other things that I won't get into right now.  Really looking forward to 2012 to see what it will bring in terms of finances, jobs, relationships, church and maybe some aquaintances.  Oh, have PSVT which is an electrical short in my heart (found this out when I had to call 911 and go to hospital 3 days before Christmas).  Taking more beta-blockers.   Will keep myself posted.  Happy New Year Y'all!

Harrison's almost here!

DD goes into the hospital tomorrow morning at 5:30 to have our 4th grandchild.  It has been a long 9 months for her and she is ready.  I will be keeping HRH at his house so he won't be so out of sorts. LOML has gone fishing and I have finished up wrapping Christmas presents and am now getting ready to drone thru Pinterest.
Friday is JHH's 1st birthday and his Cookies and Milk Party is at 10 am Saturday.  Then on Sunday, the H-H side of the family is having their Christmas get together.  Not sure if I will go, have to wait till after Harrison gets here.  Unemployment benefits are in limbo right now, not sure what's going to happen.

Black Friday, 2011

Well today is Black Friday.  Had lunch yesterday at DD's house.  She is 8 1/2 months pregnant and her inlaws ate with us.  It was really, really good.  Last night at 10 pm I decided to make the trip to Walmart for their big sale.  I was going to spend less than 20 dollars.  Well, to make a long story short---Whatever!  I have never seen so many people, the parking lot was full, and people were practically hugging the pallets that had the stuff they wanted in them.  Really?  I about got into a fight with a lady who wouldn't move so I could get out of the place.  I came home empty handed and a little sad.  Not that I didn't buy anything, but the thoughts of people who really felt that they had to go thru that just to get stuff.  Remember, it's just stuff!  LOML and I did go to Lowes today and got a shop vac and a painter ladder for less than $50 total.  Have sewn DD's stockings and some of mine today.  Will soon make my --what I want to accomplish in 2012 list.  It's probably really long.  See ya later.

LOML gone for a while

Long time no blogging.
LOML has gone to stay with parents after mother had surgery.  She will be totally incapacitated for at least 2 weeks.  What will I do?  Probably nothing even tho I have made a list of things to do.
DD has bought the 6 needle machine and we have been learning it.  When we finally do, it will be...awesome!  There is a problem about whose house the machine really needs to be at.  I have no idea, but really think it should stay at her house even tho it would be fun to have it here and use it when I wanted.
I auditioned for a Broadway Revue with the local community theater and the production will be in about 5 weeks.  Not really sure about it, but ok I'll do.  I sang Herod's Song as my tryout song.  I was good.
As can be seen, I don't have much of a life but at least I'm still kicking.  DD due in about 8 weeks.

it's raining

Well just got up from a nap and am now drinking my diet coke.  Great day for a nap since it has been raining since yesterday and will continue thru Monday.  It's tropical depression Lee.    Worked in the sweat shop all morning and got several things done.  Chest is starting to hurt again so I guess I'll take some Xanax in a little while.  This sucks.  Had a 2 minute talk with DD yesterday about the fact that I was not going to the be flunky when she buys her 6 needle machine.  She had also decided on her own not to put the machine at my house.  YAH!
 LOML has decided to do a craft fair this Nov. with his workworking skills.  I will also do some stuff, but not really sure what yet.  Probaby my football bricks, and some embroidered dish towels.  LOML's BR emailed DD yesterday to tell her to be sure and congratulation his daughter on being pregnant.  Really?  What a freaking controller he is.

panic attack?

Well let's just say that the last two days have been interesting. I have been having a real tightness in my chest and back.  There is no other symptom that goes with it, and it goes away when I take some Xanax.  So, just take the Xanax you say.   Well that's exactly what I've been doing.  I feel that this is being brought on because I have about 30 appliques to do within the next ten days and it really stresses me out to monogram for other people.  DD doesn't really get this, but I wish there was someone I could whine to.  Yesterday hormones were really working overtime for DD and nothing could be said that wasn't going to start a tiff.  Today the MM had to buy a font for $14.95 just to do some onesies.  I wish people would just use what we have.  Oh well.  LOML and I went to Pensacola to talk to a Janome dealer about my machine.  He made me feel better about the preceived problem I was having.  Rained today, supposed to rain all weekend.  Guess what starts tonight------college football!!  Go Teams!

how to say I hate monogramming without really meaning it

Today has really sucked!!!! Got up all ready to get in the sweat shop and the first thing I did I have to remove the tackdown stitch.  Put that aside and moved on to next project.  It went OK.  Now for the great one:   customer's onesie, in 5x7 hoop (which is too big for a onesie) didn't pick up material as it did the satin stitch, tried to pick it out (yeah right!) , went to Old Navy to get another one, of course they didn't have it, had to order it off internet.  Now have 2 onesies I don't need because could only buy in packs of 3.  Also can't find a greek alphabet that isn't HUGE.  It's going on a onesie people, not an XL sweatshirt.  Needless to say, I am out of the sweat shop  for the day and have eaten everything in sight.  I know, I haven't had a nap and have only had one diet coke today.  Time for both!

monogramming job

Well, today DD came up and we (she) worked on getting stuff ready to monogram for our customers.  There is about 30 things to do and have to be done by next weekend.  Really?  I'm not that good and since I have only a one needle machine, it takes a long time.  I really don't think that DD realizes just how long it does take.  She has also decided that the 6 needle machine is coming to my house.  I have real mixed feelings about this because I am too fat and too old and too lazy to watch 2 small children, plus help her.  LOML agrees. We shall see.  Got the invite to my Birmingham GC's birthday party.  It is being held with another child but doesn't say that on the invite.  Do I need another gift?  I wish I knew what all the popups on my new computer meant.  It really is sad that I am still in the 2000's.  I finally learned how to make fruit tea and it is really good.  DD agrees.  Tonite is The Closer and Roselli and Isles on TV.  This is really the only programs I like except for Burn Notice.  TV tends to bore me after a while. Do you see a trend going here?Until another day.
Another thing I don't know:  what's with the # before stuff when texting?  You know, like I text.
Sister sent me an email, they did not float away with Irene.  Good to know.

Today I started my blog.  This is to help me remember what my life has been doing.  Not much really.  I took a  nap and had several diet cokes.  The GC came to visit today.  We had a lot of fun running around outside.  Also had bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches for lunch.  I really need to clean my sewing room, but it just sort of bores me to think about it.   The LOML has been working on a utility cabinet for JAA.  Yesterday was our 39th wedding aniversary.  We went to the Walter Anderson museum in Ocean Springs, MS.  It was interesting, but there was a guy there leading a tour and he was very full of himself, and the group wouldn't move so we finally just gave up and left.  Went to Surewater Pottery.  It was pretty cool. Ate lunch at the "original" Shed. That place is really good, but what a DUMP!
